Help!! My baby won't eat anything!!!!

My daugher will turn 1 year old next month. From about 1 month old she started refusing her bottles and was diagnosed with reflux. She wasn't put on medicine until she was 3 months old (per her doctors advice) and by then it was too late. She has associated food with pain and just will not eat. Every mealtime is an absolute battle. I've taken her to every doctor under the sun and they are all stumped like if she was the first baby to ever have this problem. She will not eat anything!! I have to feed her bottles in her sleep because she has no idea that she is eatting. Between that and syringe feeding is the only thing that has gotten this far. We desperatly need help. Our baby is only in the 5% for weight and lately things are getting worse. Does anyone out there have any advice or know what I'm talking about?! Any help is appreciated greatly!

Her feeding issue is tough. She started her refusal pretty early on so she has taught herself to surpress her appetite. I have tried going all day without feeding her to see if she would get hungry but she never does. I have given up on the threory of a baby will never starve themself. So frustrating and heartbreaking!
Thank you so much for the advice and I will try it out!

Hi... I'm not a doctor, but my sister had the same problem with her son when he turned 2, I think, because she didn't introduce food to him at the right time. She also used syringe feeding, but that didn't last. He liked chocolates, so now he eats soft rice with chocolate. He's autistic so it's much harder to introduce new foods to him. Anyway, why don't you try making the food with interesting colors? Maybe make a happy fruit face on a plate, and let her help make it. If she gets hungry, she WILL want to eat. Try not to force the food on her, maybe she'll want to taste the pretty food. ^_^
