Infant

Looking for some ideas about my 7 mo old. She started to have spots on her face yesterday that looked like pimples. Some just red and others looked puss filled. She had four on her forehead, and one by her mouth. Then later I noticed two on her knee cap and one on her thumb. Now there are two on her head under her hair. What could it be?

This could be measles.  Has she been in contact with anyone that has had Measles, German Measles or Chicken Pox over the last couple of weeks?

Keep her warm and give her plenty of drinks and children's pain reliever as directed on the packet if she is fretting or has a raised temperature.

Chicken pox tend to have blister looking type spots after the initial red spots.

Try and make sure that she does not scratch.  You can get calomine lotion or calomine based creams from the pharmacy to help ease any itching.

Contact your doctor so that you can get the correct diagnosis.
