Lymph nodes

Just want to know is there anybody there experience to have their baby a 11 weeks old has lymph nodes? I'm just really worried that something really serious is going on with my baby her doctor called us yesterday for her blood result last Friday.. She wants to repeat the blood test nxtweek but didn't give us any info of whats gonna happend she said the WBC of my daughter is high and they want to repeat that to see where the infection is coming from.. I really don't know what to do/ expect... I'm really nervous please help :-(

Lymph nodes are situated in the neck and head area, in the neck are called cervical adenitis if  they may become enlarged and tender,. Sources of infection can be scratches, bug bites, strep throat, can be viral or bacterial, usually treated with anti biotics if bacterial, will go away by itself if viral .White blood cells fight infection.,hence if she has an infection the count is high ..Think back to any occurrances any bites, any folks been playing with her may have inadvertently scratched her.Sounds like a good idea to check her blood again as the infection may have gone .The lymph nodes are doing their job .
