My son just had knee surgery and Dr. stated growth plates are starting to close.

My son is currently 5’6 going through final stages of puberty. No real facial hair but a very fine mustache and a little hair here and there under neck. Right before surgery Dr. said looked like growth plates were starting to close by knee. My son wears a 10.5 shoe and 6 foot win span. I’m 5’10 mom is 5’6. Can he still grow another couple inches? He did grow a .5 inch the past 30 days.
