New born belly aches

My baby is 5 weeks old and we were doing really well at sleeping at night until the last two nights. I think he has a belly ache and he normally poops at least twice a day and he has not gone at all today. What can I do to help him? I saw watered down apple juice or karo syrup but everyone that suggested that was a few months older. Any suggestions so that we will be able to sleep tonight?

He is too young for apple juice he should need nothing other than milk are you breast feeding him ? When small babies are in pain they draw their legs up to the chest area .,continue as you regularly do, has he a fever ,if he has ,I think as you feel pain may be involved that  a visit to the Doctor is in order, he is bit young for colic so its worth checking out to set your mind at rest.Let us know how he is doing .
