Nipple Pain

My 7 year old son has complained of nipple pain (only one nipple) in the past few days.  Seems to be getting worse.  On visual, there is no discoloration and the nipple only looks slightly larger than norm.  The nipple is extremely sensitive to touch (slight pressure) and feels like a small lump underneath.  We plan to take him into the clinic tomorrow.  However, I thought this forum might shed some light on this subject, given there are others who may have gone through something similar with your young son.

Please help shed some light if there is any knowledge of this type of scenario.

hahah Now I think I get it...it was transferred her from the birds forum   Sorry i didn't know we had one ...I wonder if it may be a bite he got maybe whilst out playing, could any t'shirt or vest be rubbing his skin and cause some inflamation ? Going to the clinic sounds like a good idea .good luck let us know what it is .

This is the pediatrics forum I have never heard of a birds forum,.. ..

It may be an injury (kids are always running and bumping into something) or it could be a small infection starting in one of the ducts. Only the doctor will be able to tell for sure.

By the way, this is the "bird" forum, not the pediatrics forum. I'll get your message switched and you'll probably get more information from other moms. Hope he feels better soon.
