Obsessive-Compulsive

My 6-year-old Grandson twists his lip constantly - and I mean CONSTANTLY, except when he is doing something else with his hands.  HOWEVER, recently he had a medium high fever for a while with a viral illness and COMPLETELY stopped!!!!!  What could have made the need to twist his lip stop?  Thank you.

Thanks for responding with an interesting theory.  However, I find I didn't tell all of the story.  When the fever went away, he started again.

While sick, his lips could've gotten dry and sore from the fever and would've been too painful to "twist".  He might've been afraid of it being painful after he was better and just kind of gotten into that way of thinking about it.
