Petechia in 5 yo?

Hello everyone.
My almost 6 year old fell Saturday and hurt his lip. It was bloody but he’ll be okay. He was upset but calmed down quickly. Now it’s monday evening and I’ve noticed that he’s covered in petechia. They’re on his chest, armpits, groin and thighs. Some on the arms and on his butt and half of his back, lower back.

This morning when he woke up he had a really croup sounding voice, you know when you cough and it feels like a knife in your throat? It’s a bit scary to cough? It went away within an hour. He’s been alright today. Home with me. Not at his best but still fine. Low appetite but he also hurt his mouth. The roof of his mouth has two red areas, not near the throat though. More in the middle. I’m not sure if he has a sore throat, he keeps changing his mind. He shows no cold symptoms now.

Could the petechia be due to his fall or the slight cold? He has nothing in his face.. or neck?
