Son has fecal impaction.. please help!!

just the facts...
First visit to ER.. ( 3 yo complaints were tummy pain, distention... no appetite, swollen area under belly button, sudden onset rash...
the doctor did ... NOTHING. no x ray... only took fecal samples to check for C diff and e coli. ( fecal matter was mucusy, bloody.. very icky.

4 days later.. went back to ER.. they finally took X rays.. found a large fecal impaction.  Nurse tried manually to expell the mass.. this did not work.. then.. enema was given..  zane passed some fecal matter.. but no alot.
went back to doc.. who prescribed 2 days of enemas... then 2 days of glycerine suppositories, then miralax, then mineral oil x three months.  a day after doc visit.. zane passed a very large amount of fecal matter...

Now.. zane started a fever this am.. i called his doc.. was away for weekend.. spoke with nurse.. who said to take him back to ER if fever got higher.  zane is now running around playing.. seems to be doing alright... however.. now.. when i make him eat.. which he really doesnt want to do... but he has lost a bit of weight.. and i am strarting to get really scared... he complains that  he is freezing.. about after the 4th bite.  then he says he cant eat anymore. he is drinking just fine..and passing urine just fine. his last bowel movement was last night.. tiny hard green balls.
at the moment.. zane has been on a diet of sweet potato, rice, applesauce, crackers... healthy juice, coconut milk and lactose free milk.( just in case) i am also supplementing with nutritional powder.
Zane has a gastro and allergist appointment this week...
anyone with this happen?? what can I expect? i am beginning to think that he has severe allergies..
before this happened.. he was on antibiotics..
even green beans give him the runs.
before.. his diet was squash, zucchini, sweet potato, crackers.. chips... 2 % milk, al kinds of juices, turkey, chicken, beef... fruit,  mixed vegetables, ice cream, rice, oatmeal, potato, ect ect.

i am wondering if the impaction is a culmination of undiagnosed allergy.

has anyone gone through this ? any advice would be greatly appreciated...

well we went to the allergist.. who said that Zane is perfectly healthy.. and just may have food intolerance.. as well as a possible problem with swallowing.. but.. we have to wait until we see the Gastro .... hes getting his blood drawn on monday to check for any food allergies.. and then.. hes going to the gastro... he  is passing stool normally now.... which is really great...... the allergist told me not to worry..lot of kids have food intolerances.. and they just dont like a larger vaiety of foods.. so for now.. we will stick with sweet potato.. zucchini, turkey.. chicken, peanut butter and jelly toast, dry cereal, fruits.. water, lactose free milk.. juices, rice, and the occasional candy.  He's in the 95th percentile for his height,, and the 85th for his weight.. so.. this is all good news.. after 6 kids.. hes just my little one thats just a bit different when it comes to what he wants..and doesnt want.. to eat.

His diet seems okay reasons for constipation can be lack of dietary bulk, cereals, excessive milk ,insufficient fluids, give him plenty of water . Let him feed himself he will eat more , sit him at the table let him get on with it.when you visit with the allergist she will be able to find out if he is indeed allergic to a food .Good luck
