large bone size

hello, my daughter is 10 years old and she is 5ft 6in and weighs 175 lbs. she has always been very tall ,her dr ordered a bone scan and it shows that her bones are the size of a 13 year old,she has an upcoming appointment with an endocinoloigst and her insulin level has elevated to 27,she has gained alot of weight really fast in a couple months time,i'm just so confused by all this i don't know what to expect from the specialist,her family dr doesn't think it;s anything serious. i would just like to know if it's possible that she might have some kind of growth disorder. thanks...

My son is 4 1/2, he has been on growth hormone since the age of 2 1/2.  He feel behind in long bone growth in vitro but then caught up.  He just had an endocrinologist appointment and he is in the 25th percentile for growth, he has been there for at lest a year, this is beginning below the curve.  His bone age is a 7-8.  All his labs are normal including his hormone levels.  He also has 8 adult teeth and began losing teeth this year.  The doctor is suggesting genetic testing and close montoring for early puberty.  Is there anything else we should be doing for him?  Any thoughts or suggestions would  be appreciated? thank you
