pnuemonitis timeline to death

Our grandson passed away at the age of ten weeks dut to interstital pnuemonitis . He was seen by 3 docs for URI over a period of six weeks. The last was 24 hours before finding he has passedhis crib.as her husband was in Iraq, oaying with us.  The state coroner's exam found the COD to be interstitial pnuemonitis c/w recent URI. His interstital tissue was fille with CHronic inflammation and weighed twice that wigh is considered normal at his age. THe was enlarging an pre mortum congestion and infection in several other areas to include liver. kidney and pericardium. Is there averified model of symptoms, timeline and anatomic changes that has been established for ped RSV to pnuemonitis. We are at a loss for answers and finality
