Put this question on the Doctors Forum site you may get a clearer answer,
Apparantly this site edits a word out that i type in. In reference to the finger iron test, I mean the one where they stick your finger to check your iron.
Hi. With my two year old, the flintstones were causing constipation. Doc says continue vitamin and give him extra apple juice, fiber.Seems to be working. My little guy isnt anemic but is very picky so doc says half a flintstones every other day.
The other post was about my 8 year old. We dont give him any vitamins because he is a healthy eater. What I am curious about with him is this: Whenever he goes to his wellchild appointments, if nurse does finger ***** to check his iron it always shows that he is iron deficient. I tell the nurse to check his chart records. His chart shows that his finger ***** iron tests ALWAYS has shown that he is anemic, ever since he was 2 years old. However, in the past, they did a couple of complete blood workups to check his iron stores. Iron stores are always normal. I posted a question to ask if anyone might know why the finger ***** test results consistantly show low iron, when my son's iron stores are normal and therefore is not anemic.
Thanks for your reponses.

Can you not give them food with plenty of Iron and forget the supplements? If you do the internet they will give you a list of foods.
