worried mommy

my baby was born face up instead of face down and he swallowed some fluid that was on his lungs. He was under a heat light for 2 days and didn't eat on his own for 2 days either. Well since he was born on nov. 1 , 07 he has been having problems, he chokes a lot, it seems like he chokes on his spit, i can't lay him on his back or he will choke, he sounds like he has a chest cold or something like he needs to cough the fluid up, and it seems like its hard for him to breathe sometimes, especially after he drinks his bottle. I'm really concerned the doctor did xrays and said they were fine, so why does he sound like this??? is it pierre robin sequence, the doc said he was born with a very small chin, and is that why he is choking? but why does he sound like he has fluid in his airways??

ya i thought about that, and I'm going to ask the doctor, but the funny thing is my doctor knows of my concerns and says hes totally fine. I think sometimes the doctors don't even know.

Hello, it sounds almost like he has reflux. Maybe you should get him checked for that.

My son was born 5 weeks early and when he was 2 months old to about 5 months old every time he took a breathe he would have a weezing sound and he had the sound of flem caught in his chest He would cough so hard his face would turn  purple It use to scare the sh*t out of me i had him in to the doctors so many times the doctors ran so many tests and did lots of x rays all the test came back clear and good the doctors never did give me an answer to his health issues. Then when he turned about 5 months it just went away. never had the problem again.
my heart goes out to you and your litttle one and i hope your little one gets better very soon.
