Could this be a prolapse? ***GRAPHIC**

I had a miscarriage in July, and on July 24 I had a D&C. About week later, I felt something coming out of my vagina.. I went to the ER and the doc said it was just tissue from the D&C and not to worry. It of course, got worse. I went to the family doctor, and he said my cervix may be infected, and just prescribed antibiotics.. I feel as if I should get a second opinion, because this seems like a prolapse to me.. help please?

It is really hard to say for sure what is going on with your body even with the picture because it could be pelvic organ prolapse, swelling or several other things that can only be accurately diagnosed by a uro/gyn. I am so sorry about your miscarriage and hope you are taking good care of yourself! Please get in to see a uro/gyn and let us know how your appointment goes as they are the dr.'s trained in this area of women's health!

I am so sorry you are having this problem as well as having had a miscarriage.
Have you requested to see a Urogynecologist?
If you have a prolapse this type of consultant can diagnose this for you as well as look at any issues you have with possible infection vaginally or of your cervix or uterus.
I see a string on your photo.  Is this an IUD string?  I also see what appears to be blood and a bulge.  I hope you are not to uncomfortable.
This bulge and any bleeding need to be investigated especially as you have already had antibiotics and also waited for it go down as directed by your Dr and neither suggestions have worked for you.

Since you had your D and C on the 24th of July I wonder if you may have swelling but still feel it is very important for you to get a correct diagnosis from a Urogynecologist as a bulge can mean prolapse and this type of Dr can also look at an infection and gyne issues at the same time.

I wish you luck.  Come back to us if you have any further questions
