Falling apart at 48.

I recently noticed a pink mass pushing out of my private area while voiding. When trying to have a bm my bowel drops into the same space, and i have to push on the inside to eliminate. Urinating is also difficult, i do not seem to empty all the way,and strain to go. My urithra is also bludging like a dounut! I have burning due to the exposed mass. And walking ,standing, sitting or any physical activity pushes it out even more. Im 48 with a prior hysterectomy with ovary in place, no children. But i did work in direct care for many years doing heavy lifting. I believe im a stage 3 since this mass is protruding at all times just waiting to drop out totally! I have an appt with my new primary on August 2nd. My concern is infection, and complete drop!
What should i be doing untill then to deal with pain? I want this corrected by surgery only, cant deal with inserts. I just want to cry......................

While you are waiting to get in to get the dx of pelvic organ prolapse (and yes that is what is going on, your symptoms are classic POP symptoms), one thing you can try since a pessary is not comfortable for you is to wash you hands, push the bulge back inside the vagina, and put a support garment on (if you can tolerate it, some women don't like the pressure on their guts at all). If it is comfortable for you, wearing a support garment after you push the tissues back inside tends to keep them inside until you remove the garment. NO HEAVY LIFTING, this only makes the scenario worse as does  constipation but not much you can do about that since the rectocele bulge is where the poop is getting stuck-try to eat fruits and veges as much as you can, lots of water.

I guess I wouldn't wait for the insurance to kick in; if I thought my entire nether region was falling apart, I would pay out some cash to get seen.  You can at least get a first appointment that way, and then wait for the insurance to kick in after it, and it would ease your mind a lot.
