Breast Reduction

Alright guys, here's the deal. I am a 26 year old mother of 4. I have very large breasts. I am popping out the top and sides of a DDD. I have horrible back and neck pain, rashes under my breasts, and big dips in my shoulders from straps. My breasts started growing when I was just 9 years old (I was humiliated). I began hiding myself in baggy clothes and physical activities were painful and embarassing as I got older. Even with a good diet I became over weight. Now with the children I am 270 lbs. I am trying to lose weight but my breast make exercising very hard. Even push ups put strain on my back and neck. So my question is, would I qualify for breast reduction surgery at my weight? Or should I just keep up the diet and see what happens? Thank you all for your help.

I am a 45 year old who had breast reduction surgery one week ago. I went from a size "i" to a size "c" and I love it.

My response to anyone who is heavy and wanting this done is to lose 50 lbs first. Can't do it...I thought I couldnt either. What I recommend is the hCG diet. I started hCG the end of April so basically I was on the diet May, June then a 4 week break, July, August, then a two week break and back on in August and this current round will be over September 26. I have not done a single day of exercise. In fact Dr. Simeon's recommends that you do not add or increase exercise in to your daily routine because of the restricted calories.

I started at 245 I weighed in this morning at 190. I have lost 55 lbs and I look and feel great. Lots of people talk about how bad the diet is for you but I simply do not see how removing all pre-packaged foods that are not whole or fresh and adding fresh meat, vegetables and fruit to a diet that would otherwise contain fast food or food from a box is bad for you.

The first day following the surgery I experienced slight discomfort, but I haven't even taken any pain pills since the second night. Seriously! It's the best decision I ever made.

In march i had a C5-6 fusion due to a ruptured disc that was causing a spinal cord compression. My surgeon recommended the breast reduction.

You can do the breast reduction w/o losing the weight and you will still reap huge rewards, I highly recommend it and I am trying to get my mother to have the surgery as well.

I welcome you to visit my profile and check out my progress.

I had the same problem. I had back surgery, 2 times, and many Dr's told me that a triple was very bad for my back recovery. I waited and waited, not wanting to go under the knife again. Well this Thursday, after waiting 15 years, I finally did it. and I'm now going through the recovery. The 1st 3 days were a little hard, but the pain meds helped. now it's day 5, and there is barely any pain. I only take pain killers at night, and my back feels great. I'm so happy. because the older you get the heavier they get, and your shoulders become permenently damaged.
