Just wanted to say hello, I have a two week old girl named Ellie. She was born premature at 35weeks gestation. We are so happy to have her home from the NICU.

What a great idea I'll have to look into getting one too. Ellie is on Zantac which seems to be helpful but she also is in our room to sleep because of fear of choking on spit up.  Right now she sleeps in a pack and play with the bassinet attachment and we have towels under one side under the matress to prop it up a bit to let gravity help keep food down. I'm excited to look at the rocker you mentioned. Anything to let her sleep well :)

Yeah I did see that when I was looking at the comments and I see the part they are talking about.  We really only use ours for sleeping at night and she really doesn't go near that area.  For naps started to put her in her crib to get used to it awhile.  We also try to do a lot of tummy time during the day but who knows how much my husband and mother in law will do it when I go back to work.  Thanks for the info though I did find it interesting as well!!!!

We have a fisher price rock and play as well which my guy loves as well.

Wanted to let you know that I was just looking at the comments from Amazon.com regarding this item.  It received mostly high remarks, however if you look at the people that gave it one star - it is very enlightening.  I'd recommend that you go to Amazon.com and look at these remarks.  Apparently the way this product is designed, it causes some infants to get a flat spot in the back of their head and may also cause a delay in head control - some parents are then needing to use a helmet to reshape the kids head.  Very interesting!

good luck with the reflux.

Hey I just saw in your intro post that your little girl has GERD.  My baby girl also has it.  Zantac didn't work for her so now she is on Prevacid.  We have her in our room yet to sleep because I am afraid to put her in her room in case she spits up and has one of her "choking" episodes.  I am not sure what you are using for her to sleep in but we just got a fishcer price rock and play which is amazing.  It was recommended by her MD and we love it.  She sleeps so good in it.
