I used gentleease enfamil newborns(breastfed mostly in the beginning but feed him that when my milk came in the first two days bc my books hurt so much :/)and he threw up so switched to similac sensitive tummies that made him constipated now he is on similar alimentum and it's the best expensive but it works...all formulas have been ready to feed he didn't like powder
As far as I can tell it has all the same nutrients and stuff, but is made with gentler protiens. Its more expensive than the normal formula, so I'm guessing it costs more to make. My dr told me it was better to use the sensitive tummy stuff if you're transitioning from breast milk, and I was.
You're the second person I've heard that had to switch to the gentlease...I think I'd be nervous to give him the regular stuff. Is there any downside to the gentle stuff?
I've used enfamil infant ready made (the liquid stuff) and that worked for my LO just fine. Its expensive though so I switched her to enfamil newborn (powder stuff) and it made her really constipated. So now we're using enfamil gentlease for sensative tummys and its working great! Its also powder. But I just found out that WIC only uses Similac, so I'll have to change her again.
