Some babies are just colicky and it's something they have to outgrow. When trying a new formula you should give it about a week. Also the age that babies will cry the most is 6-10 weeks old so it may just be something that he needs to work through. If you think it's upset stomach/gas you could try giving him gripe water. It can work wonders.
