Oh goodness! I remember when I found out. Its completely normal to be scared out of your mind I know I was. The more research I did the more I started to panic. Just because you have PCOS doesnt mean you cant live a normal life it just makes things a bit complicated. A lot of girls would die to be in your place of not having to have so many periods. Your hormones are all out of balance when you have PCOS but you get use to it and soon you'll prob forget you even have it. It gets easier to manage and then you don't feel like you're going to punch a wall or cry for days. If I was to give you any advice it would to be stop worrying and live life! I wish you the best luck! :)
I know how you feel. When I was 17 (now 28) I was told I had endometriosis and I was told I would have issues to get pregnant and what not. I was put on birth control right away to help with the symptoms, so today I still get peeved when I keep hearing birth control is just a contraceptive when it’s used for so more than that these days. Anyhow, just a year ago my new OB told me she saw no endometriosis but she said I am a prime candidate for PCOS. As of right now just follow what your OB says and just keep it far far back in your mind what your challenges will be in the future when you are ready to make family. There are many many options for women like us. By the time you are ready I’m sure the medicine world would have changed to the better again like it has for me/us.

It's a very good thing you found out about your PCOS early. The earlier you find out, the earlier you start treatment and therfore you might be able to stop the symptoms of PCOS before you start trying to have babies. I didn't find out until I was 21 and I'm only 24 now. I probably had PCOS since the age you are now, but doctors didn't know it. Keep up with your doctor, have your yearly visits to the gyn to follow up with this. Birth control and metformin are two great things for PCOS.
