Can I get pregnant with hormonal imbalance???

Hi Everyone,
I was recently diagnosed with PCOS.  I am on metformin and spironolactone because of my high testosterone levels(came in at 73).  I had an ultrasound and that came back normal, which is good.  My question is, is there any of you out there that only have the high testosterone level symptom of PCOS and were still able to get pregnant?  I have one little boy who is 2, and at the time I had him I did not know I had PCOS.  I just went on the metformin and spironolactone a couple of days ago... is it possible for this to help lower my hormone levels and be able to get pregnant?  I will start 50mg of clomid once I get my next cylce.  Anyone with similar experiences???

Help.

Hi I'm kinda glad I read ur message because I am going thru the same thing you went thru.... I was on the IUD for 5 years and had it removed cuz my husband and I wanted another baby. My last baby at that time was about 5yrs old and it took me one yr later to get pregnant and unfortunately I had a miscarriage and my family took it very hard. I was about 13wks along, the docs didn't know why. So I got pregnant again 6months later and had another misscarriage and needed a D&C surgury. Doctors still didn't know why? About a year from that another misscarriage and doctors have done many different tests, but not one has done a test on my hormones being imbalance. So now I question it, what is PCOS? Do I have that? Now my last baby is going on 10yrs old and I still can't get pregnant. It's very hard to answer ur kids when they ask "mom why can't we have a baby." It is very costly to do a hormone test when u don't have insurance. So I guess we just have to keep waiting when the time is right.....

I have PCOS but never got tested to see what exactly I'm high or low in. But when I was pregnant with my son I also didn't know I had PCOS. I had a great pregnancy with him but he was born at 33 weeks. He's 9 now & healthy. After 6 yrs of ttc & trying provera/clomid to "regulate" & get me to ovulate I had no luck getting pregnant. We quit "trying", but didn't do anything to prevent pregnancy. We figured if I could get pregnant once without meds & carry a baby I could do it again. In June I got pregnant but miscarried at 3 1/2 weeks then got pregnant again in Sept but miscarried again at 7 weeks. I am now 7 weeks pregnant & feel great. Way better than I did the last 2 pregnancies so hoping this little tyke wants to stay in for the long haul. Just crazy how I couldn't get pregnant for the longest time & now it seems just 1 look from my hubby & I'm knocked up but can't keep my babies. I'm no where close to the weight & fit I was when I got pregnant with my son so who knows why I'm able to get pregnant now & not in the past 6 yrs. (God's will I guess.) Stay positive, listen to your body & never lose faith.
