Feel like getting period but never do? Is this normal with PCOS

Trying to make a very long story short....I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year and a half ago. Nothing's been done about it (see below). I was trying to have kids, went on Clomid (before being diagnosed) by a former OB, and was never monitored for it. Anyhow, after going off Clomid - my last pill of 6 cycles, I never got my period.

My new OB put me on Progesterone and gave me blood work to test for PCOS. Due to numerous errors on my part and the lab, I had to take the test 3 times....taking Progesterone three times.

Since then, I have gotten my period ONCE on my own. That was back in April. I had been walking on the  treadmill and taking FertilAid at the time. Its now been almost 8 months since I've had a period. During that time I had stopped taking the FertilAid (back in June) as it didn't seem to be working, and I had stopped using the treadmill due to the very hot weather. Hoping to pick it back up in the fall. . .

I'm 255lbs. My biggest ever, I have high blood pressure (no meds yet) and now I have plantar fasciitis making it difficult for me to walk on the treadmill to attempt to lose weight...I doubt, because of the high blood pressure, that I'll be able to get Birth Control pills...

But, every month or so, I get wicked crampy in my ovaries, the same feeling I had every time I ovulated on Clomid. Sometimes I get tender breasts, and other times I feel like I'm having period cramps. Yet nothing ever comes of it. Sometimes its downright painful....thing is, I NEVER had any of these before going on Clomid. I also never missed a period by more then 60-70 days.

I just want to know is this feeling of getting my period normal with PCOS? Or should I be concerned its Endometriosis?

I've been meaning to call my new OB to find out about going on Birth Control pills for awhile to hopefully regulate my now bad acne, weight gain, and bring back my period. I had been on the pill from age 15-19 and was at 120lbs till I was 20 and ballooned 100lbs in less then a year...but as I said above, I don't know that I'll get them with the high blood pressure. I'm not sure if I can take them and be on blood pressure meds or what...

I'm so broke I don't even have the $20 copay to walk in the door

They basically told me they couldn't do anything for me due to the high blood pressure and that my only option was to take prometrium every 3 months max.

I was 120lbs from age 15-20 and was on the birth control pill from 15-19. I still had the intense cramps & backpain when having my period. But the whole year I was off the pill @ age 19, I had lack of periods and was 120lbs. Then that year I gained 100lbs.

Then last year I gained another 50...and now I have no periods.

Hi there,
Cheer up! Simple measure of weight reduction will solve many of your problems. This will not only help your PCOS and your blood pressure but also help in mood elevation and make you feel better. As you realise you may not be able to take birth control pills in view of your weight and blood pressure. For the irregular periods and cramping it would be best to check up with your gynaecologist.
Hope this helps.
