Hormone Levels

Hello, I am writing because I have lots of symptoms of PCOS and 5 years ago I went through fertiltiy and found that I have PCOS, but now 5 years later I had my hormone levels taken just by family doctor and they say they are normal but what is normal. Can anyone help me? I don't have periods, I grow hair in places you don't want and more here are the lab results from lab.
Estradiol (estrogen) 26 pg/mL
FSH 5.0 mIU/mL
LH 12.2 mIU/mL

These are the ones they have done. What does this mean? I am waiting for my insulin levels to come back to see if I am insulin resistant.   Any help would be appreciated. Thank Yvonne

I think you should a GYN. Family doctors generally dont know much about PCOS (mine didn't). You should start metformin, but not a high dose. Can you take any type of birth control? Im on yasmin pills and they are a low dose pill. I never once got sick taking them and never had breakthrough bleeding.

Good luck!!!

Hello, Thanks for replying to my comment on the PCOS forum. I just had my hormones tested they tested LH, FSH, Estradiol I think that is (estrogen), that is it. They said they are in the normal range, now I got my insulin tested for insulin resistant and they said it came back in normal range, but the (family) doctor says he wants me to take the meds because of having all the symptoms of PCOS.   5 years ago I went to a fertility doctor (he got me prego) but before that he checked everything and said I have PCOS. So I am confused, and I am worried about taking the meds with out knowing if I have it. Thanks for any help.
