Pcos

I am 31 years old with three children, and my youngest 7 years. Is it possible to develop pcos now? Even with never having issues in the past conceiving ?

Well I have not had a "normal" cycle since my 13 yr old was born. But I have never actually missed a period all together until last month. Unless i was pregnant of coarse. I'm still trying to research all the symptoms and see if I have them.  I did just recently have severe outer hip pain and lower body pain, like my knees, ankles and feet with no known reason. That lasted about 3 weeks and I was taking aleve to help with the pain. I still have "some" pain but not at all like it was.  I have also noticed I seem to be loseing more hair when I brush then normal. Oh and a few little black hairs on my chin popping up here and there. And sometimes some pain with intercoarse. I don't know if any of those are actually symptoms or not but when I missed my period last month it was brought to my attention by a friend of mine that maybe I had pcos. I did take a pregnancy test last week and it was negative and I understand it may have been to soon to be positive. But when pcos was mentioned, I thought I would try to find out more about it.

Yes, it's possible. I only started getting symptoms at 29-30. Nothing at all before then and I had always has super regular cycles, normal periods. Suddenly I started skipping periods, my cycle went all over the place and even though I'd always been thin/average, I started gaining weight like crazy. Then all the other symptoms started appearing. It took me a long time to get diagnosed, I only found out at 34-35.

Not all women with PcoS stop ovulating. Some do, some still ovulate occasionally and while most women start getting some of the symptoms in their teens, some get them only later.

It's entirely possible for you to have PcoS even if you were able to conceive.
