Have you seen a doctor for your pcos? Are you on any meds? If your not having your monthly period, then you are no ovulating each month. Talk to your doctor about this. You may need to start taking Provera to jump start a period and maybe Clomid to help you ovulate. Having PCOS and not being treated for it can lead to infertility. It's not impossible to have a baby if you have PCOS, it just makes it a bit more harder. Please see your doctor.

I have PCOS, was diagnosed over 6years ago in high school. I didnt worry about being regular or wanting children, I was content with out. I never had a regular cycle since day one in 1998. Then starting in 2005 I worked out for 6months to loose weight for the big 21 in 2006. I became regular to a 28 cycle and had lost 40 pounds. The last time I did a weight in was April of 2006.

I went out drinking for my 21st in July 2006. 3 days later I was still sick, everything around me made me nuaseated. I was pregnant on my own, unplanned and not married.

Here it is 2 years after my son was born (I had mirena placed when he was 6 weeks old) and my HUSBAND and I are trying for a baby of our own. I am only 2 weeks post removal, but kind of scared that PCOS is hurting my chances. I am super emotional and think I am ovulating this week!! But I cant really tell cause the 2 years I had it, no period at all.

You never know what can happen with PCOS.. the tried many drugs and bc to get me regular it never worked. So try again... after a while it may happen. Or just try to loose weight- then when you feel good and look good you'll gain baby weight- LOL

Losing weight may not be the key motive for all who suffer from PCOS. There are thin women who suffer from this and losing weight is not the option. You have to start seeing your GYN to start knowing your options and what can be done to have a baby. BUT, if you are overweight, then yes losing weight may improve your cycles and start ovulation again.

no periods means no ovulation...and no ovulation means no pregnancy...the advices about seeing the doc ASAP is the best option. Also, its not about children only, having no period is a serious condition..it means something is not right and needs to be taken care of coz its not natural. so please see a doc about that and im sure once its solved u'll be good to go:)...takecare

Hi Tenaya, I just want to let you know what happened with me and maybe it will help you as well, or anyone else reading this.  I am 35 yrs old and at 16 I was diagnosed with PCOS, I was never concerned about getting pregnant b/c my Dr told me my chances were slim to none with the amount of cysts I had, so I went about life as normal, at 32 I met my (now) husband and we decided to try to have a baby, I lost 60lbs before I met him, my periods regulated themselves (I would have a period every 6 months before losing the weight), and i used a fertility monitor (clear blue) and within 4 months low and behold I was pregnant.  My son is now 3 years old and I just recently found out I am preggers again.  This time we tried for about 2 years and nothing, then I lost 55lbs and used black cohosh and got pregnant about 3 weeks into the black cohosh.  Hope this helps.....keep trying it is possible! I never thought I would have kids but it can  happen! Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
