Pcos and neg hpt

So ive read about several women saying their dr has told them that pcos does in fact give you false preg test due to thr fact of hormone inbalance and increased about of the male hormone.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I got a faint pos last week and took another and it was neg but its sooo hard for me to believe. I just feel like im preg. I feel different am expreiencing things I never have before.
Ive also been charting my bbt and my temps are way up and have been for 17 days.

Honestly have been fight PCOS but never had a positive pregnancy test. I dont know about any other women i was on clomid and metformin i use to get straight negative and then in october i did one test of pregnancy and it gave me very very faint line. 2nd day i went to pharmacy got it done there and i had a bright line and i was told i am pregnant. i had scan which showed start of pregnancy. i would say on my behalf don't wait because if you wait you might be sorry because PCOS play's up with your HCG hormones for good. and if you had positive and then negative there's a chance you might be having an early miscarriage due to drop of HCG. so best thing is run to your doctor and get blood test done just to make sure either you are pregnant or no and second if you are get your HCG blood test done.

I would opt for another test in a week also.  The Blood test at your clinic will be the best indicator though.

HI,
It is true that the altered hormones in PCOS can give a false positive result in a urine pregnancy test. However you have symptoms like a pregnancy then the test can be repeated after 7 days to see if you get both lines dark. Another option is to do a blood test for confirmation.
Hope this helps.
