I was also diagnosed with PCOS 1 year before I got married. It was very frustrating especially after 2 years after we got married and everyone keeps on asking us when will we have our baby. My husband checked his sperm count and it's healthy. So the problem is really in my part. I tried different types of medical help. I tried pills for 6 months...nothing happened, I tried metformin...nothing happened. I even tried taking clomid (fertility drug) 2 cycles at 50mg, then 2 cycles at 100mg of clomid...then followed by 3 cycles of 150 mg of clomid, after after few days we came for an ultrasoud to look for mature eggs and luckily they saw that I had an ovulation. So they quickly gave me an HCG trigger shot then told us to make love that night and come back for another ultrasound after 30 days to check the result. We did what was told us, even did it for the following days. Then after 28 days I had  menstruation. We both cried...almost lost hope. We keep on praying and we decided not to pursue the medical treatment...We felt we had to stop it talking about it and take a rest. And so what I did was just enjoy the moment, avoid stress, relax, be happy, sleep early, go to gym, eat small amounts of food, and just kept on praying, After 1 month...I got pregnant...! Thank God!!!  It was a healthy baby girl! A very pretty one. She is a gift from God. Don't lose hope. Everything happens for a reason. And what you prayed for will come to you at the right time.

Don't get discouraged... I too have pcos and trying to get pregnant for awhile now. I lost over 100 pounds and still have it. I have been on everything and was loosing hope but I have hope again. I started going to see a fertitly specialist at the Jones Institute which happens to be the best in the world. I'm not taking metaphormin which I'm happy about but they put me on Fermara bc chlomid doesn't work for me. It took the second try of fermera and it produced two follicles and then had me take a ovidrel trigger shot and decided to try timed intercourse first. Now I'm waiting to see if it worked. The point I'm trying to make is don't give up ever... I refuse to give up until a doctor tells me it's impossible which has not happened and the doctor said it won't so I won't give up either and you shouldn't. My advice is to go see a feritily specialist... It's been the best blessing since being cursed with this pcos... I hope you do get your wish and I'm keeping you in my prayers and sending much baby dust as possible... I have been sent so much I am sure I have enough to share... Lol don't give up...:-D

Don't get that upset. You need to have patience. I have tried on metformin for three months and had my IUI. I got pregnant for the second IUI and had a very active child. So don't get frustrated. Wait and believe in God.

I took Metformin for about 3 months while exercising 5 days a week and cutting out a lot of carbs from my diet.  After those three months my cycles started getting regular, i went from not getting them for months at a time to getting them like clock work each month.  I continued to keep exercising almost religiously and I am now expecting my first child with my husband any day now.  I've heard a lot of women have success with Clomid but I went for the Metformin as it didn't seem as intense to try as a first option.  I did go off the metformin after my cycles were regular as I felt that with exercise and eating better, i was keeping my insulin levels in line enough to make my hormones act like they were supposed to in the first place.  lol  My biggest issue is that I have PCOS and Hypothyroidism so losing weight, like suggested for women with pcos, was VERY hard.  It literally took me a year to lose just 15lbs but those few pounds were enough to allow me to normalize all my hormones and get pregnant naturally.  I wish you the best of luck!  It CAN and DOES happen. :)  I had been trying without succes for 5 years before this pregnancy.
