Please pray for me.

Hello all.  I am new to this forum.  I am 31 weeks pregnant with a little girl, due December 2nd.  I was put on early maternity leave because of problems with swelling.  Since then I have been watching the news and getting on the internet and now from what I have read I am very paranoid about the swine flu.  I know to some it's not a big deal but I have been praying with a friend from my old church because I am obsessive about it.  In the United States since mid May to August over 100 pregnant women have been put in ICU on ventilators and 30 have died.  Most all these ladies are in there third trimester like I am.  Swine flu is going around very bad where I live in Texas and I am even scared to go in public.  I just keep thinking I am going to get it and die.  Some of the pregnant women didn't even know they had it. I know this is the enemy trying to steal my happiness.  I am just struggling right now and need your prayers to help me get through this.  I think I am driving my husband crazy.  Please pray for me.  God Bless you all!

We do have her name picked out...Addison Leigh Lowery.  My husband picked out her first name, he did a good job.  I avoid public places as much as possible and my husband and I both sanatize our hands everytime we go out.
Thank you for the prayers and I am glad you are all feeling better.

Congratulations on your soon coming blessing.  You're right, it's just satan trying to steal your joy.  Just remember the scripture God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.  When fear hits you just speak it out loud.  Don't let the enemy drive you nuts.  Think on things that are perfect, pure, lovely and OF A GOOD REPORT.  And the good report is, you are going to be fine and give birth toa lovely little girl who will grow up to be a mighty woman of God.  My daughter is expecting her 4th little girl in December and I had 4 girls myself and it was an amazing time.  This should be an exciting, wonderful peaceful time for you so don't let people scare you.  Stop watching the news and get off the internet except for positive things (like this support group)  Remember, think on things of good report.  God Bless, you're in my prayers

Congratulations on the baby!! What a joy!

I totally understand how you're feeling about the swine flu. That IS something we should all take serious because it IS serious! If you aren't going out in public then you should be safe. When you do go in public, take some antibacterial hand gel with you and use it like crazy, and maybe a small can of Lysol. I don't know if pregnant women can get a flu shot or not, but if you are able to, get one. This day and age, we have access to so many things (like the antibacterial hand stuff) that will help keep us safe. Just try to stay calm and enjoy the remainder of your pregnancy because getting worked up isn't good for the baby. I will keep you in my prayers!

Congrats on your soon to be new addition!  I know how you feel with all the swine flu going around, a daycare in my area just had a case of it(not mine Thank God) but then a week later both my daughter and son got sick and i got sick, and believe me i went straight to the doc and was pestering about having them check all of us for swine flu and i even got those face masks just encase because my husband wasn't sick(ya i got a little obsessive about it, but you can never be to safe!) But thankfully it was just a normal case of the flu and we ll were better within the week. But i can understand how worried you are! Just be safe, if you want where a face mask in public just encase and carry purel(sp??) with you and wash your hands if you touch anything in public. I'm a little obsessive about that too, i wipe shopping carts off with wipes and if i set down my purse i wipe that off and constantly wash my hands and the kids hands. I'm weird though because at home i'm not like that at all just in public lol

Sorry about the book lol but I will also pray that you have a safe healthy delivery and welcome a beautiful healthy baby girl into the world!

Oh do you have any names picked out? I used to just love searching through the baby books for names lol

Congratulations on your soon to arrive baby girl. My brother and wife had a baby girl on July 21, 2009. Her name is Caitlyn and it is spelled this way, because her beautiful grandma Cathy, died July 19, 2007, so my brother and sister in law, wanted a "happy medium" name including my mom.

I can understand your concern, because I'm very concern about everything from asthma, common cold, flu and especially this dangerous virus H1N1 or swine flu.  I also heard on the news how dangerous it is especially for children and pregnant women and as you stated, some fatal. I would just make sure to keep your hand's clean and avoid anyone's hand shake, hugs (I hate to say it, but contact) and touching of your face, etc. My fiance has been in bed for 2 days with a head cold and I'm scared, because I was layed off 8 months ago and have no insurance, so I'm washing my hands constantly and especially after anyone shake my hand, sanitize my computer, phone, door knobs, I am very concern also. As soon as you feel the slightest headeach or discomfort, contact your ob immediately. I will pray for you, your delivery and your precious baby girl.

I invite you to see our bundle of joy, by simply clicking on my name "Judy246". She is now 2 months and a wopping 10 pounds (lol). She's beutiful, a little colicky, but responds to sounds and smiles.   God bless...Jyd
