HSG testing

Hello, I was scheduled this morning for an HSG test. During the procedure, the doctors weren't able to get the catheter in my cervix, the catheter kept popping out. What could have the problem been? They couldn't proceed so they are going to send me back to my infertility doctor to see what he wants to do. They did mention about dilating my cervix and having to come back? may this work? i just hate the fact that i have to wait for my next cycle and i am a patient with PCOS so i don't get a regular period! I've been trying to get pregnant for over 5 years. Can someone give some advice? is dialing my cervix going to hurt me ????
