How faint can a line be, and still be considered a positive test

Hi all, it's 6 am. And decided on a whim to take a test today, the day before my expected period. I got one bright line, I started out bummed. Then I saw a very faint second line. I mean you can barely see it. I'm going to wait a couple days and test again... But you think it could be positive?!? Anyone had a faint line before?

As long as they are read within the suggesteted time no matter how light the line is it's considered positive! But always test after expected AF just incase of a chemical pregnancy. Congrats :)

I got the BFP the Friday after. But Monday evening I started spotting pink, bled heavy red around 2 am Tuesday morning. Doctor had me come in Tuesday at noon, who said its most likely a miscarriage. He didn't give me much information other than probably a miscarriage. I've been worried ever since they took my blood, and a ultrasound that couldn't really see anything. Have to go back, not sure what to think trying to remain hopeful.

I had exactly the same thing with my first pregnancy - also took a test the day before my expected period start and got a very faint line. I went for blood tests the next day, which then confirmed I was already 3 weeks pregnant.

If you saw the line within the given time frame for reading the test than it would be considered positive. If you waited too long to read the test it may be a false positive.

It was within the 3 minutes. It was just really faint, I tried again this morning and it was a tad more visible. Still not sure to trust a faint line. I have one more test left, I think I'll wait a while to use it.
