any one ever had light bleeding and turn out to be?

I was over a week late for af and then started cramping really bad it woke me up and I noticed some dark brown blood the next morning, I was a light flow that whole day then the next day I was spotting but it was almost not even there at all. now the last two days there has been nothing all I have is still sore boobs bloated sore stomach lower back and hip area and nausea. I tested negative at 3 days late. not  sure if I should consider the bleeding a had a few days ago a period or what.. normally I bled for 4 days not 2 and have 31 -32 day cycles not 41 day cycles.
very confused... anyone ever had this happen to them?

after thinking back I also had this same weird bleeding last month as well I was about 4 days late last month and it came on after me and the bf dtd. it started out that same brown discharge and then light spotting for two days then back to the discharge for a day. could I be 10 weeks along and just not getting a positive hpt. I tried calling to schedule an apt today at my doctors but there office was closed for some reason... ugh...

I would wait another week and test again. Dark blood is older blood so it could have been implantation bleeding.

From my experience, its better to have it checked by the doctor, hope its a good one:)
