Absolutely you can!!  The medical community now knows so much more about HIV, it's transmission and the safety precautions you will need to take.  HIV is certainly no longer a death sentence and you can live a normal healthy life with it.  Make sure you are working closely with your Dr. and I wish you luck in your ttc journey!!!  I was going to second what GermanBaby said...check out the Living with HIV forum here on medhelp!!!

yes you can become pregnant at 37 years of age even if you have HIV. Your baby has a 20-45% chance if becoming HIV infected if NO preventive drugs are taken and you breastfeed. I believe you can lower this risk to 2% if you take anti-viral and feed formula (no breastfeeding). But please talk to a doctor specializing in HIV first. There is an HIV forum on this website and perhaps there are women that are/or currently going through a pregnancy/child birth. Good Luck

I apologize, It says that it is almost eliminated as a risk  in the US. But there is still a chance of it occurring.I would really talk to your Dr.before even considering it. If you already are then take as many precautions as possiible.

In the healthtopics, under medical glossary hiv primary it says that hiv is not transmitted from mother to baby.Check out the information there on MEDHELP.
