43 with paragard IUD period is late

I am a 43 year old woman with four children.  I have always been on time with my period never been late with the exception of the four children that I already have, until now.  I had some breakthrough bleeding about two weeks after my last period.  I have taken a pregnancy test and it was negative.  I have been feeling tired and a little nauseated but I've attributed that to allergies.  What are the chances that I am pregnant? Is that even a possibility?

Thank you both for commenting and congratulations on having healthy pregnancies.  I took a home pregnancy test it was negative, called my gyno he had me come in for a visit  he took a urine test which was also negative.  He removed my IUD because it was slightly misplaced in my cervix. He said it may be perimenopause but not sure at all.  He gave me orders for blood work because he said that it may be too soon to tell from the urine test.  I decided that I would forgo the blood work and just wait it out until the end of the month.

I had the Paraguard iud for 11 months before I found out I was pregnant. Since having the iud my periods were sometimes on time sometimes a few days early and sometimes a few days late. My son turned 1 in early Oct, I had my period Oct 28 th. Went to my in laws for Thanksgiving expecting to have my period while being there, I spotted, thought I would start, but it never came. We got home and my kids were sick and I wasn't feeling well, and I just thought I had what the kids had and that my November period would be a late one. Finally after 2 weeks of not starting I decided to test. It was immediately positive. I went into the doc for an ultrasound to see where the iud was. Luckily, it was in my cervix and was easily removed with no risk to the baby. I was 6 weeks 2 days when I found out I was pregnant. I'm 24 weeks today, my baby boy is due Aug 4th.

I created an account solely to respond to this. I had Paraguard for 8 and a half years when I conceived
I am 30 years old. When I missed my period for 2 months, suffered depression, trouble sleeping, etc. I thought I was having a nervous breakdown. My mother suggested I take a hpt. I took 2 because DH didn't believe the first one. I was able to get in for an ultrasound in 2 days to determine if it was a viable pregnancy or not. Seeing the ultrasound with the IUD positioned above the gestational sack was scary. Since the IUD strings were still in place, the doctor explained that at 8 weeks we should remove the IUD. It could have caused miscarriage and I had 3 more visits in the next 4 weeks due to the increased risk of miscarriage. I am currently 32 weeks along with a boy.

IUD pregnancy happens about 1 for every 100 users. Mirena IUD fails more than Paraguard. Pregnancy typically occurs within the first 2 years. I
