First congrats! I hear ya,I am 37 and almost 5 weeks pregnant with my 5th child. My youngest is 7 and I had to early miscarriages after her so I am waiting patiently to see if this baby sticks. It feels different this time so I am hoping and praying all stays good. Not sure if being pregnant with a different guy than the miscarriages will make a difference but my fiance and I are very excited to add a new little one into our family...his first. Blessings to you all!
13 weeks and we had a CVS test and the Counsyl test and the baby is perfectly healthy and normal! We have one more hurdle (the 20 week ultrasound where they check all the organs) but from first glance the US's have been very normal and healthy. 153 and 155 beats per minute. And it's a BOY!!! I have three girls (14,16 & 22) so this is going to be ALL new for all of us! I actually cried when our genetic counselor called with all the results today. I'm finally really excited!!! This is going to be so fun!!!
oh and I'm feeling better finally! The nausea is pretty much gone to at least under control. I have some energy again and I just feel generally "better". thank God for the second trimester!!!!
oh! im feeling so much better these days. fatigue is under control. no longer have a sick stomach. we are all settling into the idea of our family growing. a coworker overheard another say to me "now that you're expecting" and she replied"oh so you're going to be a grandma" "no" I said and her face looked like I slapped her as she realizedwhat I was saying... all she could get out was "oh its you (long pause), but dont you have a kid in college" lmfao. so thats how my day went... :)
Ran across this, and had to laugh at your coworker!! Would have loved to see their faces!! Congrats on your pregnancy :) what a wonderful blessing!!! I had my twins at 45. (no, not naturally).
