5 weeks 3 days to early for HB?

Had a trans vag ultrasound at 5 weeks 3 days they said they were able to see the gest. sack and yolk sack but no baby no heart beat, It might be too early but Im scared to death that it could be bad news.

I had a transvaginal u/s at 5w 2days and they only saw gest and yolk sacks. I had another one done 2 weeks later and saw my baby with a strong heartbeat! Don't worry, everything should be just fine.

Yes, too early.  Try  not to worry :)  I'm sure you'll see it next time.

Waaay too early honey. Give it another 10-14 days if you can stand the wait! :) :)
Congrats on your pregnancy!

I agree, too early.  Heartbeats usually start somewhere between 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 weeks.  Factor in the fact that it is impossible to pinpoint the exact moment of fertilization and implantation and Sally is right, 6-7 weeks is the earliest they should be looking for it.  Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

Hi,

5 weeks 3 days is definitely too early to see a heart beat. It is not bad news.  It is normal!

In most cases the earliest it would be seen would be 6 - 7 weeks.  Don't worry. All will be fine.
