5 weeks five days no heart beat or fetal pole... Should I worry?!

I had an ultrasound done in th ER due to some bleeding I had in the evening, now when I went to my first prenatal visit my Dr said I was about 7-weeks and this ultrasound showed 5-weeks five days, my levels at the time were 28016 and the impression on the report stated no distictive fetal pole or heart beat, I was told to repeat the HCG which I did and my levels are now 40846, I am so worried I really don't want to loose my baby, ugh soooo stressed out, please HELP!!!!

I had one at 5w3d no heart beat and just a sac. Had to wait until 7 weeks. Now I'm 21 weeks.  Hang in.

I work in a hospital and going to the ER for pregnancy issues is not the place to go - sorry!  They should have sent you to their L&D unit (not sure if they did that or not).  Did they say if they saw a gestational sac and yolk sac???  You will not see a heartbeat that early.  I had an ultrasound at 5w6d and they saw the sacs and a tiny tiny and I mean tiny fetal pole and that was done intravaginal.  I repeated the ultrasound in 1 week and that is when they saw the heartbeat.  Your HCG levels look great.

My friend went for an ultrasound at 6, 7, and 8 weeks and didn't see a heartbeat until 9 weeks.  Every woman and pregnancy is different.  Try not to worry too much.  Keep us posted.

your levels look good..... if you are 5wks you may not see a heartbeat til 7 or later. Unless they do a intravaginal sonogram.  you should see a fetal pole by 6-7 wks.  If the bleeding was light...you are probably fine. Try to relax.
