Hope someone can Help!!

I had a baby almost a year again now and i still have a really weird feeling in my stomach between my ribs where the baby used to kick.  It almost feels numb or hollow when i run my fingers over it..just not like the rest of my stomach.  Even when the water hits it in the shower it feels weird. Not painful at all..almost like it's swollen but i can't feel the swelling with my fingers. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this.  Can ab muscles seperate that high? Or do you think maybe she damaged the muscle there by kicking so hard? Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks in advance!

I'm currently 25wks pregnant, and I still have it.  Although I'm all stretched out again, so it's not as noticeable.  I'm assuming it will be there after this delivery as well.

Well that's good to know i'm not alone...! How long did it last for you? My little girl is 11 months and i still feel it.  She used to kick really hard in that exact spot though so i'm assuming it's just damage to the muscle...at least i hope...and i'll let you know if i find out.  I've been going to the doctors for a totally seperate issue..if i mention this on top of all the other stuff she'll really think i'm crazy! *L*

Hello and welcome to the forum!  I had the exact same thing after my son was born 2 yrs ago, under my right rib cage.  It felt numb, and I had a very strange sensation there. It didn't hurt, but I knew something felt odd.   I never asked my Dr what it was, I assumed it was just one of those things that happen after a delivery, either from ligament or muscle stretching...if you find out let me know!
