How many of you have been induced at 39 weeks and how did it turn out?

I was induced at 39 weeks with my second child. From checking in to holding him in my arms was less than 4 hours! He was ready to be here. Despite the epidural not working, everything turned out fine.

Oh, forgot to tell you that induction doesn't always work!  Ask your doc about that before scheduling.

I was induced at 39 weeks with my 2nd baby and I was terrified.  I had my first one naturally and wanted the same for #2.  It really wasn't too bad. Started pitocin at 6:30 am & baby born at 5:30 pm.  Doc broke my water too which I was also terrified of but everything went really smoothly.  Was able to walk around, labor in whirlpool, and no meds besides pitocin.  Doc recommended induction b/c baby was SGA.  He's healthy though!  Good luck mama!

No I had not dilated at all. The nurse just puts some medicine in ur vagina n slowly ull start feeling the contractions. N it progresses as if u naturally has contractions at home. Then u start dilating when the contractions get stronger

I was induced at 37 for both my previous pregnancies. During to not enough amniotic fluid. I'm hoping for the same thing for this one. I liked being induced u get monitored from the beginning instead of wondering at home what is happening or if it real labor or false labor. Absolutely zero complications for me or my babies.

I was induced with my first at 40 and second at 41 I never naturally went into labor so I can't compare it to that all I know was with the first it took forever I was stuck in the bed and it was very painful I was unable to get an epidural because the labor floor was really busy
