Am I just being paranoid?

I'm 35 and I found out just a few days ago that I'm pregnant. According to the charts, I'm going to be 8 weeks this Thursday. I'm terrified that there will be complications/abnormalities because of my age or that I may have a miscarriage. Both my sisters in law had miscarriages and they were several years younger than me. Am I just being paranoid and reading too much into all the negative things? I'm so scared I practically act like I'm made of glass. :(

I'm 40 and pregnant with my 3rd. This has been my best pregnancy. I'm due in 18 days and I've had no complications. Also got the testing done and everything came out fine. Low risk. They will ask you if you want to get if done. They can also tell sex of baby.

Ur being paranoid. . It has alot to do with how u take care of ur body. If ur healthy or not. I'm 38 n will be 30 week this friday. This is my healthiest pregnancy  meaning I have had absolutely zero complications at all. I did do all the test since I'm over the 35 mark n passed all of them. My blood pressure is 98 over 67 which my doc said it's perfect. N I'm still exercising running bicycling n lifting weight throughout my entire pregnancy. But I think it has to do with my healthy life style. So if up to now u haven't lived a healthy life style I suggest u start eating healthy so ur body can have all the vitamin n the nutrition it needs to support a healthy baby.

As long as you still have your period your not too old!
Don't let Dr's and statistics scare you. I am over 45 and conceived without any medical intervention.  God choose to bless me and I am excited! Children are a blessing from God!
Enjoy each day ! Stop reading things that make you feel terrible. Be encouraged! You can do this!
