Amnio Results are in

I am so glad I did the "speedy" version of the amnio. We got our results today after only 4 days!!  Our baby is perfectly healthy!!!!  Now, these results are only 93% accurate vs. standard version that is 99.9%, so they will notify me with those results in 2 weeks time.  However, given that our baby only had an 8% chance of trisonomy 21 to begin with, I am satisfied that all is well.  We would have loved our baby no matter what, but I am so happy we chose amnio.  I feel like a million lbs have been lifted off my shoulders.  I cried and cried at work when I got the phone call.  It was just such a relief.  And, it is team blue for us!!  A beautiful, healthy baby boy!!!  Debbie, you were right again my friend!!  

Warren and I were talking today about what a long journey this has been.  In all honesty, without the support I found here I think I would have given up. So many of you gave me the courage and strength to keep going. For those of you that are struggling still, I am here to tell you I am living proof that it can and does happen.  And it's all worth it!   I am so grateful to all of you for holding my hand through all of this.  It's been 2 years and 5 losses and although I will always mourn the babies I lost, I am so very happy I didn't listen to what some others told me and give up.  In January I will be holding my little man in my arms.  XOXO Amanda...now, off to shop blue!!!!!!!

HIPPPPP HIPPPPP HORAY a BABY BOY, I just love my little man to death.  Okay - what are the names?????  Amanda, I just new it was a boy, I just had that feeling.  I'm so so happy for you and Warren.  Things are going to be just wonderful.  You finally got your wish to know what it was like to be pregnany, it will be a journey you will NEVER forget.  I can't wait until you feel him move for the first time.  This will all be the best experience of both of your lives.  Enjoy it all.

Ok ok ok...So I posted today and this was yesterday's news. I was hoping it was a girl...Yeah!!! Go team blue. I still dream of a little girl for me...talk to your baby and have his baby angels send me the girl...LOL!!! I am so happy for you that all is well. I heard on the news today that Celine Dion is finally pregnant after many many years of trying through IVF and ICSI... she finally got her wish and is expecting in May 2010... it always makes me happy when a fellow "infertile" finally gets pregnant!
