Traveling overseas on first trimester

Hi Dear all,

I might be pregnant now (my lab test due Wednesday).. & have been planning to go overseas (21+hrs flight)
Do you guys think its safe to do so??  Did anyone hv experience travelling in the early of pregnancy?

Hi,

My OB told me that she did not want me to travel during the first Tri.. Probably bc I was a high risk pregnancy... I would ask your OB what they thing about it... Best wishes to you and your family...... Mary...:)

I traveled during my whole pregnancy for my job all over the States - I stopped only at 34 weeks and started at 3 weeks when I did not even know I was pregnant.

Flying is generally considered safe, make sure to walk or move your legs every hour, drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. Make sure not to carry heavy suitcases.

Don't drink orange or tomato juice: I made this mistake once... I never made it again!

Yes it is safe. the main concern over flying during the first trimester is making your pregnancy symptoms, like morning sickness, worse.
