Congrats!! I know your scared, but every time you get a BFP it's a new opportunity. You know lots of us have babies after several miscarriages, and older then you my friend! I am going to be excited for you!!
Leg cramps are actually a common symptom...you hear it all the time. I had all kinds of problems with my legs through my whole pregnancy, although it was restless leg syndrome. But still, leg cramps are no cause for concern at all. The fact that your earlier pregnancy test was light, and now is darker is a good sign. Although HPT's are meant to be qualatative and not quantative, the reality is that usually as HCG levels rise, the line gets darker. So that is a positive. If your last cycle was Feb. 1st, your about 34 days or almost 5 weeks. I would see a Dr. now just to monitor your HCG levels, and usually an u/s at about 7 weeks is accurate. I have personally found anything earlier then that (unless I was bleeding) to be more stressful then anything.
Hang in there Yolanda...so far all good signs right? No bleeding or spotting, no back or abdominal cramping (not that those things are always bad signs, but they sure can be scary). I am going to be excited for you until you are able to be excited yourself! ((((Hugs))) sweets. This could be the sticky one!!!
Hon,
I so understand how you feel.
Being pregnant after miscarriages is a time of stress and fear and tentative hope rather than the simple joy it should be.
You could talk to your obe and get progesterone levels tested. If these are lower than they should be a supplement can be given. Not much else they can do at this stage.
The symptoms sound good! Hope this is your baby!
Thanks ladies, @adgal no back or stomach pains so far only leg cramps. I will go ahead and call tomorrow to make an appointment. I am just soooo scare of hearing I don't see anything, but then I know I have to think positive, but when you have had those many m/cs it's hard not to be scared. I can get preg. which has to be a good thing, but can't seem to hold the little beam, and can't seem to find out why...
Oh Yolanda, I know. And the not knowing why is almost the worst part. Have you been able to get in for testing yet? I am about to undergo another round...seeing an RE who specializes in pregnancy loss next week. Maybe someone like that can help you too. Keep me posted sweets, and stay strong.
I did see an OBGYN Specialist who ran all kind of test on me, which she wanted to do before she referred me. If this beam do not stick I will see an RE. The only major thing she found was a cyst in my uterus, and before I went to the specialist my regular OB doctor told me I had a tilt uterus. After checking my tube a few months ago that doc told me that my tube was block and I wasn't able to conceive again, but I know that wasn't true when I got pregn in Nov. although that one didn't stick either. I will keep you posted no matter the news. Thanks again friend
A big congratulations. One day at a time.
Thanks Pum I will do just that one day at a time
Since you can get pregnant, have you tried progesterone pills? My RE had me taking progesterone candies (or very similar) that you place under your mouth until get dissolved. I took it twice a day until week 13, I think, when the body start producing higher levels; I think this help me so who knows… ask your Dr. They do not taste great (in fact it was the only thing that gave me nauseas) but totally worth it if they work.
I am now 29 weeks and hoping to meet out little princess soon!!
Best luck to you! And everybody in our situation …
I will ask her when I go...My regular OB did test my progesterone awhile back and said that is was good. So I just don't know understand whats going on. I will discuss this with my OB when I see her hopefully this week. I am just super tired today, and that is it for the syptoms...However, I am staying hoping and prayerful. Thanks
