Baby Names

Hi Everyone!

I'm 35 and 9 weeks into my 4th pregnancy.  I have one son (Max, 1 1/2 years) and have had two miscarriages, both at 11 weeks.  I love this forum, but sometimes I need a distraction from reading and worrying about scary ultrasounds, low HCG and miscarriage risk.  I think about all of that WAY TOO MUCH!

On a more positive note, is anyone thinking about baby names?  I would love to hear your ideas!

If we have a girl, I'm thinking "Mylee Jo".  Boy, "Wilson James".

so many people are naming this.....   but then will call baby that.....

why not just name it the shorter 'nick name'?

think about school and attendance, and how people will refer to the kid by a 'full' name instead of what you've been calling it.

not saying what you are doing is wrong by any means... i'm just wondering what the reasoning is behind it.

Thanks so much for sharing!  This has been a nice distraction!

Syre - Where did you come up with "Ellison"?  I was thinking about Millison for a girl at one point, calling her "Milli".  I still like that one.

AZ Angie - I am keeping you in my thoughts.  Hang in there.

My DH and I have a hard time agreeing on names, so who knows what it will end up being?!

Hi, i'm 41 and  7 weeks preg tomorrow with twins.  We've tried for 10 yrs to get preg so i've had my  names for awhile.hahah
if it's boy/boy    Jensen Charles (after my gpa) and Cooper Edward (after hubby)
if it's girl/girl  Ellison Elizabeth and Emmeline Katherine (they'd be called Elly and Emmy)
if it's girl/boy  it will either be Brinson (my gma's maiden name) ELizabeth and call her Brinny and Cooper    OR Ellison and Jensen       (Brinson and Jensen sounds retarded HA!)

Best of luck to you!!!!

I'm 44 and have recently been trying to get over 2 miscarriages.  It's nice to think of the positive -- hopeful side of things.   DH and I were trying to think of names with the last pregnancy, before the miscarriage.  It was nice while it lasted...  Anyway, we are thinking of these;
Boy -- Julian Ray, both our birth father's middle names
Girl -- Anya LaVonne ,  my Grandmother's first name, his Mom's middle name

Interestingly, we have a family name on his side from the mid 1800's that is close to  Patty's Zaria -- it's Azariah, a boy's name.  I think it's pronounced az-uh-REE-uh, but I would say it ay-ZAR-ee-uh

well, we are really suckin on the hind tit - good grief - we can't agree on a name and don't seem to be able to find the time to sit down and discuss names - hubby ONLY wants to use Hayley because of Hayley Mills - LOVES the name - I'm not that fond of it - working in preschool, there are more Hayley's then Kellogg's Cornflakes - I love Kathryn - it was my grandmother's name and I have always wanted to use it - and call her either Kate or Katy - (grandmother went by Katy) Hubby doesn't like Kathryn because of someone he used to work with - so for now, her name is Fred - I told hubby I was going to get her a little bowling shirt and have Fred embroidered on it - lol

Jenn - I didn't know your daughter was named Becca - that's what all the kids at school call me cause they can't say - REbecka - although I do have one little boy who is convinced my name is Mister Vecka - I love kids and the way they talk - lol
