I'm 36 weeks and my baby's head is still not down at this time could he turn in the next weeks? or will he stay this way has this happen to anyone else the doctors said they could try turning him their self has it worked for anyone

mags242001, sorry to just now be responding! No, it does not hurt. I have never been adjusted before so I was a little surprised my bones could make those kind of noises, ha! But not at all painful and on top if it helping in turning my baby down, it provided immediate relief of the lower back pain I had struggled with since around 20 weeks. Would HIGHLY recommend it!

I'm 33 weeks and my little girl is breach too. If she doesn't turn by 36 weeks they want to try and manually turn her If she doesn't turn on her own. My midwife told me that it only works 50% of the time and I've read it could causes the cord to stop around baby. So if it comes down to that I will not be letting them manually turn her. Look up spinning babies.com it has come great techniques you can do at home to turn baby.

Good for u.. I read that that's the best position for the baby to be. Head down n looking towards ur spine. It's supposed to make deliver less painful n faster because of the position. It said due to the position of the neck it's easier for the baby to come out n for the cervix to open. So ur good. I have an ultrasound in 2 weeks hopefully mine turned.

Proud to say he's head down now I've been doing the hips up and laying down position for 2 days and I guess it worked but his face is to my back ☺️

Breach at 31 weeks is so normal. They start turning around 36w. Be happy if you are 31w and your baby is still breach, because you loose a lot of comfort when the baby turns around.

Cdolan, was it painful to do? Some ppl tell me it painful n others that it doesn't hurt? Either way I will do it but just curious abt it.

Ladies, you may try finding a chiropractor trained in the Webster Technique. My baby turned back head down after one adjustment. It helps to align your pelvis and make baby more comfortable in the head down position. Google it. I highly recommend it!

That's what I'm scared off also. But definitely if mine doesn't turn by 36 I will start looking into having that procedure done to help him turn. Good luck

I think he just might not have room  to turn on his own he's now about 6 pounds and I still have only 3 weeks left

At 31 weeks it's still not uncommon to have a breech baby but at 36 or 37 I would start getting worried n start doing the recommended exercise to help the baby turn n of course start preparing to have the procedure to have ur doc turn the baby. 36 week n up is when my doc said it would be a concern. Now there r a few baby that turn on their own right b4 the delivery but it's a very low percentage. It is more likely that the baby will not turn on his own due to not having enough space. But definitely consider having the baby turned. Good luck. By the way I'm 33 n in that same boat so I keep asking my doc abt it. N this is what he tells me

I'm 31 weeks and my baby is still breach. I brought it up with my Dr as well as the Dr at the u/s place. My OB said they don't generally start to worry till 36 weeks and that's when we would start discussing turning her. The u/s Dr said 78% of babies at my gestation are still breech but only 2% at 36 weeks. I would definitely talk to your Dr about options so that way you aren't disappointed of you have a birth plan

Some babies turn during labour or right before. You still have a chance!
