Bleeding after 3 HPT's?

Hello everyone.
I went today for a blood test and won't get the results until Monday and I am concerned and a bit anxious. I was due to start my period on Sept 8 but the week before that I started having heartburn after everything I ate or drank, sore breasts for about 2 weeks before that (still sore now), and nauseated from morning til night, and a bit of insomnia. I took a pregnancy test on the 6th that came back positive, this was just the cheap Walmart brand because I really didnt think I would be pregnant. I had tubal ligation reversal surgery in March and we have been trying for 6 months now. On the 8th I started spotting some, a brownish color, pretty light but enough that it scared me, so I took another test, positive again. I still had the same brownish stuff the next day until I took a shower then for about 20 minutes I had some spotting that was like red water, not really the consistency of blood. So I went and got a different brand test, took it later afternoon and positive again. I had my blood test this morning, most of the brownish spotting had stopped, until I showered again, then it was a darker red. I am scared to death now that this was just all in my head or something or that I am having a miscarriage. I have had some pain but it was more like an ache, all across my pelvic area and down my legs, but no real cramps..I usually get them extremely bad the first day of my period. Has anyone else had problems like this or have any encouragement to get me through til Monday? I normally wouldn't post here but my husband is in the Army and out of town and I don't want to worry him unnecessarily.

With 3 positive tests, I would say you are in fact pregnant.  The bleeding can mean many things and is not overly uncommon in early pregnancy.  I had it too and my son is now a healthy happy 7 month old.  Statistically about 30% of women will experience some.

If it gets really heavy, to the point that you are filling a pad every hour or so, you do need to seek emergency medical treatment.  Other then that, unfortunately there is not much your Dr. can do except wait and see. Please make sure you let him/her know.  Depending on how far along you are they can do early ultrasound or check to make sure the cervix is still closed.   I know, that is the worst. It is so scary to see blood when you are pregnant.

I am glad you posted here...that's what we are here for, to support each other.  Hang in there.  There is just as good a chance that everything will be fine as that it won't.  Please let us know how you are doing.

most of the time a positive means you are pregnant. It is extremely rare even with a home test to get a false positive. As far as the bleeding, I would definitely see your OB to check things out. Good luck!!
