Bleeding during 1st trimester

I am 5weeks/2 days pregnant.  I have been bleeding for 2 1/2 days now.  I don't recall any tissue, just dark blood, kind of heavy like  a period.  Today it's a bit more red, but still darker.  I have an appointment to see the dr. tomorrow.  Has anyone experienced this and found that the baby still survived?  It is imagined that this is the sign of a miscarriage.  I don't think I have any cramping...sometimes things are in your mind.  I feel slightly uneasy in my stomach is all and I have had a headache for a few days.

Thanks for listening.  Hope you can reply.  Thanks again.

My first pregnancy i bleed for the first 4 months sorta like a period but after 4 months it stopped and i had a healthy boy 8 lbs 8 oz and not a problem though my pregnancy. so don't worry until you see the doctor becasue the bleeding could be many things i know it is hard not to worry but try your best.

I haven't had your exact experience, but I do know bleeding is caused by all sorts of different things, and not all lead to miscarriage.  I hope your ultrasound shows a healthy little bean, and that you have a healthy remainder of your pregnancy.

I had severe bleeding the first three month on my pregnancy.  I'm now 30 weeks pregnant.  Bledding in the first trimester can be normal.
