My baby is here!!!! Welcome Elias Christopher

Well ladies it was a long, bumpy road, but I would travel it over and over if this is the end result.....Welcome my baby boy Elias Christopher.....Born via c-section on 8/11/08 at 8:47am....He is 7lbs 5ozs and 18in long

My delivery went rather smoothly....I arrived at the hospital at 6:30 am and was in the OR at 8:15....my cerclage was removed first, then came baby, and last was my tubal......I am so thankful that all went well....after 3days in the hospital, my baby boy and I are home....the recovery is a little tough, I thought I could get through it without pain meds....that was a joke!!!!

Now, I am trying to tackle this BF thing, my milk is not in yet, but we are also having some latching issues....I have put in a call to a lactation consultant....I hope it all works out

I am so blessed, I would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, words of kindness and advice....I have posted pics of my baby boy, check them out.

I second Christina - don't be afraid to take those pain meds - for me, it made taking care of the baby much more easy and CONGRATS on your arrival & I'm glad everything went smoothly!

Take those pain meds. Your body will tell you when you're done! I had percocet for ~3 weeks post delivery (but I had a staph infection) so your body will tell you. But congrats!!! I've wondered about you and how you're doing! My little guy is 3 months now...and I hope to be heading back to nursing school soon!
