Breached Baby

Hello,

I am 35 1/2 weeks pregnant. My cervix has been thinning out for the last 3 weeks but not dialating yet. My baby is breached and my dr wants to know if I want them to try turning baby. Is this safe since my cervix is thin? I heard turning could be painful but I don't know which is worse c-section or turning.

i am 41 yrs old,i had all 4 of my girls in my 20's,I was happily surprised to find out i was pregnant with a son in 07.All was fine but at 37 weeks he turned breech,i had a external version it's called to try and turn him...my personal opionion is and was...it was the worst pain i ever felt in my entire life..it didnt work,he would not turn at all,i left the hospital in severe pain,i could hardly walk for days after,my stomack was brusied..i personally,if i could do it over,i would not do it..thats just me,i dont want to tell you what to do,who am i to do that,i just want to tell you what happened to me,it might work for you,it might not be painful for you.anyway,at 39 weeks i had a scheduled c-section,i had all my girls vaginally so that was a first and last for me..but it all ended with a son, that i thought i would never have..what ever you choose,as long as you and the baby are healthy,,thats all that matters..god bless

It's still early yet. Baby could stay and hang out inside for a few more weeks and decide to turn on his/her own. My 2nd baby turned from head down to breach and back again, all within a few weeks of the due date.

I've heard a few people suggest to get down on hands and knees and mop the floors. This might be an old wives tale, however I can understand why the swaying motion with the hips higher than the shoulders could help encourage baby to turn.

P.S. I've had 3 c-sections due to baby size and they all went well.
