Hi! I had a breast lift done about 8 years ago and i'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I know a lift and reduction are different but I did ask my OBGYN and was told being able to breast feed would depend on if the doctor severed or removed any ducts. You'll find out when the time comes so don't waste your emotions worrying about it right now. Plan to breast feed if that's what you want and just be emotionally prepared for the alternative. It will all be fine - for both of us!!! Good luck and god bless you!!
I had breast readuction in 2009 and a baby last year, due again later this year. I had all kinds of probelms but persevered for 4wks. I would invest in a nipple shield and see a lactation consultant as soon as possible after delivery, my hospital had one onsite, if you're really determined. My nipple never came out far enough for a good attachement and when I finally overcame that I couldn't build a good supply despite trying everything under the sun and unfortunately due to my health complications what I could get couldn't meet my prem baby's needs. There is a lot of help out there tho so if that what you want to do. Wishing you both lots of luck!
Thanks for your responses. I will have to wait and see :)
Good question.. i had a lift also and was curious myself. Good luck.. guess we shall see.. I'm only 8 weeks so i got time..:)
I had an augmentation in 2009 and have successfully breastfeed 2 babies and sure I won't have problems with this one either. Not sure if it's anywhere near the same as far as how the procedure is done.. but good luck momma!!
I had a reduction in 2013 I'm due April 2015 I think only one of them is going to work because one lost feeling in the nipple and one never did I can squees liquid out the one that never did but the other dies nothing so will I have one big boob if I only feed out of one lols
