All these suggestions are terrific. Pump to keep your supply up, call a lactatin specialist and get a nipple shield. My first son had trouble latching on so I would use a nipple shipped and sprinkle a little sugar water on it to encourage him to latch. After a few days of this he would latch on normally without using the shield.

You can get a nipple shield. It's a little plastic thing with holes in it you stick on you nipple and makes it easy for the baby. Its kinda like a bottle teat and it will help to shape your nipple so that bub can eventually latch with no issues.

I'd call a lactation consultant in your area if you are feeling discouraged, they will help you out and are very knowledgeable. Breastfeeding is a wonderful bonding experience and I really hope you get it figured out! Like Laurita said, try to make your breasr like a burger, are your nipples protruding or do they lay flat? Mine were flat when I had my first baby and they had me use a breast pump to get them to come out.

U have to sandwich ur boob so it can b easier for the baby to fit as much of it possible in his mouth. Grab it like a burger and place it in ur babys mouth but make sure he has it and try avoiding bottle bcuz it causes nipple confusion :/

My baby is 6 days old and he doesn't latch on to my breast at all.  Now I am just pumping and feeding him.  The more the pump your supply will come in.  He seems much happier taking a bottle then latching.
